Be a Difference-Maker

God’s Word: Genesis 45

God’s message to me:

My challenge to you is to be creative with the situations that arise in your life.  Always, always, give everything you do your best effort.  That is why Joseph was such a difference maker in his day.  He did not allow bitterness a home in his heart.  He looked for the good in each situation and gave it his all.  His true heart was evidenced in these encounters with his brothers.

Accept each and every situation that comes your way and consider it for your ultimate good—and the good of many others.  As you look back over your life you will see bad situations that did not turn out good.  That is because you did not accept them and use them to accomplish the good I was looking for.  I provided you with some ways out but you did not recognize nor accept them.  But it is never too late.

Look at your life’s situation now.  Be creative in searching out ways to minister to the needs of other–to be a difference-maker.  I want to use your talents and abilities to develop the people who are around you and draw them to salvation through Christ.  Look at every situation, every encounter, as divine and give it all you’ve got—relying on my strength and guidance.

God’s Question for me:

Will you consider every appointment a divine one and seek to faithfully speak for me?

God’s Promise to me:

I will never leave you nor forsake you.  When the going gets tough—I am with you.

My Prayer to God:

  • I stand amazed at the way you use the storms of life to give us strength anew.
  • I’m sorry I run from the storms instead of embracing them.
  • Thank you for the storms you’ve brought us through to victory.
  • Help me to face the storms and be a difference maker in my generation.

My Song to God:
I’ve Had Many Tears And Sorrows,
I’ve Had Questions For Tomorrow,
There’s Been Times I Didn’t Know Right From Wrong.
But In Every Situation,
God Gave Me Blessed Consolation,
That My Trials Come To Only Make Me Strong.

Chorus:
Through It All,
Through It All,
I’ve Learned To Trust In Jesus,
I’ve Learned To Trust In God.

Through It All,
Through It All,
I’ve Learned To Depend Upon His Word.

I’ve Been To Lots Of Places,
I’ve Seen A Lot Of Faces,
There’s Been Times I Felt So All Alone.
But In My Lonely Hours,
Yes, Those Precious Lonely Hours,
Jesus Lets Me Know That I Was His Own

Chorus

I Thank God For The Mountains,
And I Thank Him For The Valleys,
I Thank Him For The Storms He Brought Me Through.
For If I’d Never Had A Problem,
I Wouldn’t Know God Could Solve Them,
I’d Never Know What Faith In God Could Do
