# 26 Secure Your Future

5 Oct

God’s Word:  Proverbs 13,14

God’s Message to Me:

For securing your future—nothing works better than knowledge and wisdom.  It is a wise parent who trains the child in the knowledge of My Word—the Bible.  And wisdom is a gift I bestow upon the one who asks Me and shows their worthiness by their acquiring of knowledge.  These two are the Siamese twins of understanding.

The teacher’s commission is to share their knowledge in a way that makes it delectable to the learner—smooth as honey.   Knowledge acquired this way will give the learner a solid rock of knowledge.  To force a student to learn material, without the touch of honey that a good teacher can supply, will not produce a secure future.

To hope for a secure future without putting forth effort to acquire knowledge and wisdom is useless.   Governments who reward these people with financial support is making a huge mistake.  The man who will not work—should not be rewarded financially.  Your future should be secured because of your own effort in acquiring knowledge and wisdom.  The lazy and selfish should not be given a free ride in life.

God’s Question to Me:  What preparations have you made to secure your future through knowledge and wisdom—and how are you helping others do the same?

God’s Promise to Me:   Wealth and Glory accompany My wisdom— also substantial Honor and a Good Name.

My Song to God:    My Hope is Build on Nothing Less

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly trust in Jesus’ Name.

Refrain:  On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness seems to hide His face,
I rest on His unchanging grace.
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.

Refrain:  On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood.
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my Hope and Stay.

Refrain:  On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh may I then in Him be found.
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

Refrain:  On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.
