The Sealed Tomb

God’s Word: Matthew 27:57-66

God’s Message to me: (My interpretation of what God is saying in these verses)

There is nothing that can separate you from My love. sealed_tomb As I stated in Romans 8:39 “Nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between you and My love because of the way that Jesus your Master has embraced you.”  Yes, even His physical death could not separate you.  Nor does his absence from the earth separate you. He lives within the heart of those who have accepted Him and follow in His steps.

Wherever His steps took Him—you follow.  Jesus did not flee from persecution—rather He embraced it—for your sake.  He did not let the fear of persecution stop Him from walking the path of love and forgiveness.  He walked that path for your sake.  He is your advocate.  He willingly went to the cross and the tomb on your behalf.  Even the sealed tomb and the guards placed on duty did not stop him from escaping that tomb.  There is no power that could stop His love from completing the task before Him.  He lived—He died—He rose—all for you.

The tomb was sealed to try and put a stop to Jesus influence.  But His power overcame and His influence is felt around the world to this day.  My call to you is to walk in His steps to show those around you that He is still alive by the words and deeds of your life.  My love for humanity, expressed through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, lives also in you who choose Jesus.  This love is unstoppable!

God’s Question: Is something stopping you from expressing My love?

God’s Promise: I am with you always!

My Prayer to God

I praise You for your unstoppable love and power.

I am sorry I too often fail to show Your love to others.

Thank You for drawing me to You continually.

Help me be a light and a model to all others.
