Marriage in Heaven?

God’s Word: Matthew 22:23-33

God’s Message to me: (My interpretation of what God is saying in these verses)

The Bible gives the answer to this question. Heavenly-Marriage Jesus was asked this in this passage and He replied that in the Bible in states that at the resurrection of the dead—you are beyond marriage.  The intimacy you enjoyed in marriage will be culminated in the presence of God.  The physical will be shed in the new heavenly body.  Everything you need will be met in this new heavenly sphere in My presence.

Remember, I created you for fellowship with Me.  This earth is the training ground for heavenly fellowship.  The best moments of this life are when you are enjoying the fellowship of others and most intimately with your spouse.  But, I assure you, the best is yet to be.  There is a joy unspeakable you will experience in My presence.  It is beyond the mere human comprehension.  You can trust the Man who died for your sins so that you can experience this heavenly pleasure.

Marriage is my gift to man and woman while on earth.  It was designed to be at its best until death.  The joyful intimacies of a man and his wife are but a tiny foretaste of the joy you will experience in heaven.  The pleasures of earth can be compared to the life and rebirth of a simple flower bulb.  The flower dies and the bulb buried.  The new life that is born from that dead bulb is incomparable to the beauty of the flower.  That is a picture of your life on earth—and the ultimate beauty discovered on the other side of the veil of death.

God’s Question: Are you remembering that life is short and its pleasures cannot compare to the joys in My presence?

God’s Promise: Life is the training ground for the life to come.

My Prayer to God

I praise You for Your gift of marriage while on this earth.

I am sorry I have not always appreciated this sweet fellowship.

Thank You for giving me new understandings as the years go by.

Help me appreciate my life knowing the best is yet to be.
