A Higher Dimension

God’s Word: Luke 20:9-19

God’s Message to me: (My interpretation of what God is saying in these verses)
Bible reading

Some claim they can’t understand the Bible.  That isn’t the problem.  They simply don’t want to follow what they read.  When you go to college you have to complete a certain set of courses.  Skip over the ones you don’t like and you don’t get the degree.  You don’t expect to get a degree in the field of your choice by choosing which courses to take and which to ignore.  The only way to really understand the Bible is follow the whole course—from beginning to end.  The Old Testament lays the ground work for the New Testament.

The college degree is only the beginning of learning.    Next you go forth and begin putting into practice what you learned.  Then you go back and study some more.  Reading the whole Bible is only the beginning of learning.  As you begin putting it into practice, you will find yourself pouring over the texts over and over again for clearer understanding.  However, the college texts are just words on a page.  The text in My Word has a higher dimension.  As you read, My Spirit is present and helps you understand the message personally.

College courses change their content frequently.  My Word never changes—it is the same yesterday, today and will be tomorrow.  There is no need for changes because My Spirit is actively involved with each reader and adapts the words to their daily life.  The same Bible speaks to both the surgeon and the prisoner—right where they are in life.  To open the Bible and read involves three, you, the Word, and My Spirit.  As your understanding grows, what I reveal to you grows.  Yes, I am actively involved in your life through My Word—the Bible.

God’s Question:

Will you let Me speak to your heart through My Word?

God’s Promise:

I will meet you in My Word.

My Prayer to God:

I Praise You for Your amazing Word that inspires me.

I am Sorry I don’t give myself more fully to obedience.

Thank You for forgiveness when I don’t quite make the grade.

Please help me control my lower nature and let Your Word reign supreme in my daily life.
