When the Clocks Stop

11 Nov

God’s WordRevelation 10: 1-11 (The Message)

God’s Message to me: (My interpretation of what God is saying in these verses)

Your life is managed today around the hands of the clock.  clockIt tells you when to get up, go to work, eat meals, and all the other myriads of things you fill your days with.  While time is on your side, it is also robbing from you.  A day at a time it is taking away your very life.  Time is like the waves of an ocean, it never ceases those pounding waves.  No, you cannot stop time but there is a coming day when all the clocks will stop and time will cease to be and then eternity will begin.

While you cannot stop the passing of time you are responsible to use it wisely.  All the time in the world is only a drop in the bucket compared to eternity.  How you invest your time today determines your destiny for all of eternity.  It also determines the quality of your life in this world.  What you put into your body and how you use or abuse it determines the length of your life.  Your life with all your passions and dreams is My gift to you.  That gift was not given to bless you alone but to bless your world by how you use your passions for others.

What you share with others is an investment in eternity. Your greatest happiness will result in sharing your passions and dreams in ways that will bless others.  Look around you at the needs in your world!  As My ambassador wherever you are or whatever you do can be used to bless others by pointing them to Jesus as Savior.  What I am saying is that as Jesus gave His whole life to share the good news of salvation with the world—that mission is now your mission.  There is nothing better you can share with another.  So as you feed the hungry or teach the uneducated or clothe the naked let Jesus’ love shine through your words and deeds—as long as the clock keeps on ticking.

God’s Question: What will you do to share Jesus’ love today?

God’s Promise: As you do for others I will do for you.

My Prayer to God:

I Praise You for the gift of time to bless others.

I am Sorry I waste far too much time foolishly.

Thank You for the promise of eternity with You.

Please Help Me live daily with your eternal values in view.
