Strolling With the Devil

God’s Word2 Corinthians 6:14-18, 7:1  (The Message)

God’s Message to me: (My interpretation of what God is saying in these verses)

Choose partners wisely. stroll with the devil I give you this advice as one who loves you dearly and wants only the best for you.  When choosing a spouse or a business partner, don’t choose those who reject Me.  A partnership needs a level playing field. When your partner’s worldview doesn’t include Me then it is bound to affect all the decisions in that business, or marriage.  Don’t tell yourself that your love will cover over all the faults of the association.  In a partnership you each represent the other. If your partner makes a choice that conflicts with your worldview, you are left to pick up the pieces. Christ doesn’t go strolling with the Devil and neither should you.

As a Christian, you are in partnership with Me.  To be in partnership with Me means that your life is My temple—it is My abiding place.  I abide with you and am available to help you—as a partner in your life.  So you see to go into partnership with one who rejects Me creates a division from the first handshake.  You will be called upon time and time again to compromise My guidelines for your life.  I say this not to restrict you but to free you from troubles that lie ahead in these sorts of partnerships.

Choosing a partner that rejects me is akin to drinking poison and hoping it won’t hurt you.  You are My ambassador of love and mercy to the world and to partner up with one who does not have that same worldview is a disaster waiting to happen.  You want to make an honest buck and they may be concerned with making a fast buck.  Everything they do affects you and instead of building you up it tears you down.  My best advice is to make a clean break with everything that defiles or distracts both within and without.  Keep My temple Holy.

God’s Question: Done any strolling with the devil lately?

God’s Promise:  Peace I give to those who follow My advice.

My Prayer to God:

I Praise You for Your peace that passed understanding.

I am Sorry I have ever defiled Your temple—my body.

Thank You for your forgiving love that erases my sin.

Please Help Me never to stroll with the Devil.
