Leaving the Cemeteries

God’s Word I Corinthians 15:1-58  (The Message)

God’s Message to me: (My interpretation of what God is saying in these verses)

When Adam sinned—death entered the world.  Redwood 2Death has brought all the pain, sorrow and sickness of the ages.  This was not My choice but man’s choice. The pain, sorrow, sickness, wars and killing is Satan’s doing, not Mine.  He is the prince of the earth because he has so many willing followers.  Self-concern is the root of all evil.  Satan doesn’t have to work very hard to get folks to be concerned mainly for self.  And then people blame Me for the state of the world.  I created the world, and all that is in it, for good.  Followers of Satan are on a dead-end street—that leads right up to the cemetery.

Christ came to bring life—eternal life.  Again, people are free to choose to follow Christ or to keep going on their self-centered pathway.  Satan works hard at preventing people from believing.  But what Jesus offers is life after death—just as He demonstrated by rising from the dead.  Knowing and believing Him will give you a peace that passes understanding.  Death is no longer the end—but the beginning of eternity in My presence.  Those connected to Jesus can look forward to leaving the cemeteries behind.

You ask “what will I look like after death and resurrection? There are no works to describe this to you.  But I created a parallel in the garden.  You plant what appears to be a “dead” seed, quite unappealing, but when it grows it is amazing.  One tiny redwood seed can grow a huge tree, producing thousands upon thousands of seeds to plant more trees.  You see, there is no comparison between the “dead” seed and the full of life tree.  The same will be true with your resurrection bodies.  You won’t be leaving the cemeteries looking anything like you did when you lay down there.

God’s Question: How connected are you to Jesus?

God’s Promise: Nothing you do for Jesus is a waste of time.

My Prayer to God:

I Praise You for those who led me to Your throne.

I am Sorry I haven’t worked harder at leading others.

Thank You for patiently encouraging me on.

Please Help Me focus on what is eternal, not temporal.
