Enjoy the Best of Jesus

God’s Word Romans 16:1-27  (The Message)

God’s Message to me: (My interpretation of what God is saying in these verses)

His words: Jesus spoke the words you need to hear. Life is good To enjoy the best of Jesus, read His words often and put them into practice.  His words were spoken to give you abundant life here and now and eternal life in the future.  Who would want to miss out on that?  A huge bonus is when you read His words—My Spirit interacts with yours.  Your eyes are opened to wonderful things you had no idea existed.  Love, joy, and peace in abundance will become your yoke-fellow.  Oh yes, enjoy the best of Jesus.

His deeds: As you read the words of Jesus you will come to know His deeds: His loving concern for others, His willingness to go the second and third mile for the sake of others.  You will come to understand what kept Him on track—where He got His strength in the midst of terrible persecution.  And as you become better acquainted with His words and deeds you are drawn to emulate them.  By drawing near to Jesus you are drawing near to Me.  He is the path into My presence.  You follow His path by doing and saying the things He would and you will realize the beauty of enjoying the best of Jesus.

His salvation:  Jesus lived and died to set you an example of how to live your life victoriously.  His death was to end the need for animal sacrifices as he gave Himself as the perfect lamb, to pay for your sin.  He knew you were unable to live perfectly but wanted you to join Him in heaven so he paid your price.  Sin cannot enter heaven so He provided you with cleansing from all sin.    To enjoy the best of Jesus means to enjoy the best of God.  He was My best and by accepting and following Him you will realize eternity in My presence.  All are invited to enjoy His cleansing.  Pass it on!
