Hypocrisy Hurts Humanity

God’s Word: Romans 2:17-29

God’s Message to me: (My interpretation of what God is saying in these verses)

There is no one righteous—no not one!  hypocrisyYet most people seem to feel self-righteous enough to look down their noses at others.  You cannot claim My forgiveness as a cover-up for your willful sin while condemning another.  Hypocrisy sneaks in before you know it and turns many a soul away from Me.  Your self-righteousness is a huge stumbling block to others.  Instead, humbly consider others as better than yourself.  One simple way to accomplish this is by remembering that the way you treat others, the level of honesty and forgiveness you show, is how you are treating Me.

You would not look down your nose at me—would you?  But that is exactly what you do when you look down your nose at others.  Those people you haven’t the time of day for—I accept that treatment as though done purposeful to me.  The only way you can show love and honesty to Me is to show it to others.  Your actions speak louder than your words—to others, and to Me.  My forgiveness of your faults is not blanket forgiveness, apart from anything you say or do.  Believing in Me, through Christ, and accepting our forgiveness means that you are taking on our mantra to pass it on.

Knowing My Word and My Will does not give you a one-uppance over others.  Your supposed knowledge is not what counts.  What counts with Me is faith expressing itself through loving words and deeds.  If others have occasion to point their finger at you and say you are a hypocrite—you better pay attention and change your ways.  A hypocrite hurts humanity by turning them away from My salvation, their hope of forgiveness and life eternal.  You are to be My ambassador of love and acceptance to everyone you meet.

God’s Question:  Will you treat others just as you wish to treat Me?

God’s Promise: Kindness to others is My mark on your heart.

My Prayer to God:

I Praise You for your wonderfully simple Word that guides.

I am Sorry I don’t always live out what I believe.

Thank You for being so loving and forgiving.

Please Help Me treat others as though it was actually you.
