A Cork in the Storm

God’s Word: Acts 27:1-44

God’s Message to me: (My interpretation of what God is saying in these verses)

Has your life ever felt so overwhelming that you were like a cork in the storm?  Boat in a stormAre you in that situation because of no fault of your own, or because of the choices others made, or perhaps because of your own foolish choices.  Choices always appear different beforehand.  Are you tempted to make the choice that gives the most instant gratification—and hope for the best as a result.  That choice is often why so many are deeply in debt.  If you are looking for the easy way out—it often turns into a dead-end street.

Each day brings many choices of how to spend your time and your money.  Each choice you make brings with it many consequences.  That is why My Word advises this: “Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others.” Your thoughts determine your deeds.  Garbage in—garbage out is exactly what happens.  You are the master of your thoughts for out of them come the choices that determine your destiny.

What a huge difference your thoughts make.  Fuel your thoughts with My Word and I am happy to help you make wise choices and avoid the cork in the storm syndrome.  Leave Me out of your thoughts and you better wear a life-vest wherever you go.  My presence in your life does not hinder but empower.  Include My wisdom in decision-making and don’t let the currents of life distract you or get you off course.  The evil one knows your weaknesses and attacks on every hand to keep you from being the best you that the world needs.  My ambassadors can face every storm of life with peace and confidence.

God’s Question: Any storms of life hindering you today?

God’s Promise: Guard your thoughts—enjoy My peace.

My Prayer to God:

I Praise You for Your directions to a life of peace.

I am Sorry I make too many foolish choices.

Thank You for Your lighthouse that guides me to safety.

Please Help Me be a beacon that points others to You.
