What’s the Fuss?

God’s Word: Luke 12:22-34

God’s Message to me: (My interpretation of what God is saying in these verses)

What are you fussing about?  WorryWhat’s for dinner?—what shall I wear?—if I was only taller—if only I had a nicer house—a better car—more money.  Where has the fussing about these things gotten you?  Then why fuss about them?  Instead, look around you.  The birds flit here and there, just enjoying life and being content with what I provide.  Consider the flowers—they won’t fuss about their appearance, they just bloom like there is no tomorrow.  The ten best dressed men and women in the world look shabby beside the flowers.  I care about the world around you but it is you I love.  It is you that Christ died on the cross to provide eternal life.

Here is My best advice for you.  Chill out!  Don’t be so preoccupied with getting so that you can respond to all I have given you.  Let those who are not acquainted with Me fuss about those things.  But as for you, you know Me and how I work.  Instead of fussing about things you cannot change, steep yourself in My Word and My relationship with you.  Rejoice in what I have provided, don’t fret over what you don’t have!  When you do this you will find that all your everyday human concerns are met.

You have such better things to do that fuss.  Instead focus your attention on being generous.  Give to the poor.  Get yourselves a bank that can’t go bankrupt, a bank in heaven far from bankrobbers, safe from embezzlers, a bank you can bank on.  It’s obvious isn’t it?  The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be, and end up being.  Let your everyday life smack of joy no matter the circumstances surrounding you.  Overcome fussing with generosity.

God’s Question: Will you cease fussing and being rejoicing?

God’s Promise: I gave you My very best–Jesus—because I love you.

My Prayer to God:

I Praise You for patience and understanding of my faults.

I am Sorry if am so prone to fuss.

Thank You for reminding me how futile it is to fuss.

Please help me rejoice in all my circumstances and honor You.
