Are Demons for Real?

God’s Word:  Luke 8:26-39

God’s Message to me(My interpretation of what God is saying in these verses)

Yes, Virginia, demons are for real. 22 demons-to-pigsAs sure as there is day and night, springtime and harvest, love and hate, evil exists in the world.  They influence the choices you make daily.  I gifted each human with a free will, and the directions, in My Word, as to how to avoid evil and choose My best for your life.  Without that dynamic the other choice was to create you as the animals, without a free choice, but an inner instinct that moved you to do My bidding. It would give Me no pleasure if you only honored Me because you had no other choice.

Satan and his demons goals are to turn you away from Me and My Word.  They tell you to ignore the Bible because you can’t understand it.  They lure you away from love and fidelity with many temptations.  Sadly, you often invite those temptations into your heart and home—via the media.  There are many good things you can do and even many of those carry with them unwanted temptations.  Satan can make the good appear undesirable and the undesirable appear good and wholesome.

This is where you free choice comes in.  My Word gave you clear guidelines for avoiding Satan’s temptations.  The key is what you focus your thoughts upon.  If you focus on the good—the pure—the holy, you will not allow evil temptations to find a home in your heart.  If you allow your thoughts to wander to the evil—the impure—the ungodly, you will find the good, pure and holy crowded out of your life.  My Word is My perfect gift to give you a joy filled life and help you avoid Satan’s temptations.  I invite you but you are free to choose to respond.

God’s Question: Will you consider what thoughts you invite in?

God’s Promise: As a man thinks in his heart—so is he.

My Prayer to God:

I Praise You for Your Word that helps me avoid evil choices.

I am Sorry I let selfishness crowd out common sense at times.

Thank You for always being there when I turn to You.

Please help me focus my thoughts on the good, pure, and holy.
