Jesus’ Final Briefing

God’s Word: Mark 16: 1-20

God’s Message to me: (My interpretation of what God is saying in these verses)

Death was unable to hold onto Jesus.  01 jesus_finalHe and I are as one and have power over all of life and death.  We knew, before His crucifixion, that death could not hold Him.  His very closest friends did not believe, when they were told He had risen.  He told them clearly that He would be killed and rise again in three days.  But, as close as they were to Him, they still struggled to have real faith—which is evidenced even when you cannot see that which you hope for.  They saw Jesus dead and could not erase death from their minds.

This is why I am so patient with the rest of you.  The Apostles saw Jesus face to face, yet still struggled with unbelief.  You have only My Word to learn from.  But even then I have not left you alone.  My Spirit is alive and well in My Word.  As you read My Word, I interact with your spirit to help you understand and believe.  No, I would never leave you alone.

Jesus final briefing was binding for all of time.    “Go into all the world.  Go everywhere and announce the Message of God’s good news to one and all.  Whoever believes and is baptized is saved; whoever refuses to believe is damned.”  I am offering all of mankind a solution to the death problem.  Jesus purchased “life” for everyone who believes.  You lose nothing and gain everything by choosing Jesus.  I am not narrow—as some would say.  Everyone is invited—and this invitation is extended through all of time and in all nations!  There is no other way to escape death.  I offer what no one else could offer.

God’s Question: Have you accepted My invitation?

God’s Promise: I offer you life eternal—overcoming death.

My Prayer to God:

I Praise You for Your wonderful invitation to all—to life eternal.

I am Sorry I am not sharing this invitation more widely.

Thank You for giving me life and time to share Your love.

Please help me be a faithful ambassador on Your behalf.
