What’s Your Price?

God’s Word: Mark 14:43-52

God’s Message to me: (My interpretation of what God is saying in these verses)

Judas will forever be known as the traitor. price The love of money was his downfall.  Having been one of Jesus 12 chosen followers you may find it hard to believe that he could turn into such a traitor.  Judas is displaying here a trait found in many.  It has been said that everyone has a price.  Is that true for you?  Are you following Jesus because of what’s in it for you?  Your time of testing will come just as Judas’ did.  When the going gets rough will you be faithful or turn and walk away from Jesus?

So what is in it for those who follow Jesus?  Peace, contentment, deep joy, compassion, and the abiding presence of My Spirit with you always.  My presence gives you hope when you have no hope, joy when your world falls apart, contentment when you have lost all your possessions.  I remind you that this world is not your home—you are just passing through—on your way to eternity in My heavenly home.  Keep your bag packed and don’t get too comfortable—you aren’t a permanent resident of earth.

Know Jesus—Know Peace.  No Jesus—No peace.  As My ambassador you are on assignment to let Jesus life be emulated through your life.  As He would forgive—you forgive.  As He would show compassion—you show compassion.  As He loves—you too should love others—setting self aside.  Jesus paid a heavy price to ransom you.  If it costs you nothing to follow Jesus– perhaps you aren’t following.  As Jesus did–deny self and put others before your own needs.

God’s Question: Is there a price tag on your allegiance?

God’s Promise: Deny Me before others and I must also deny you.

My Prayer to God:

I Praise You that we can learn good lessons from others failures.

I am Sorry Judas failed You so and hope I would never do that.

Thank You for Jesus ultimate sacrifice to give me salvation.

Please help me be a faithful witness to your love and grace.
