What are YOU waiting for?

God’s Word: Mark 10:46-52

God’s Message to me: (My interpretation of what God is saying in these verses)

A blind man was waiting along side of the road.  waitingAt least there he had a chance of finding someone to help him.  Think of it?  That was a good choice for a man in his condition.  And when an opportunity came walking by—his ears still worked after all—he called out, then yelled out—“Jesus, have mercy on me.”  And then, Jesus stopped in His tracks and took time to give the man his sight back.  If that man was sitting alone at home he would have lost this chance to receive his sight.  That was using his head.

What are you waiting for?  And where are you waiting?  And what are you doing while you are waiting?  The blind man was doing everything he could do to help himself.  Are you?  I know all those ideas you had—and I also know that you never did anything about them.  They were great ideas but you didn’t take the effort to act on those good ideas.  Why not!  Just like the blind man your moment of opportunity may have come—and then gone because you were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Why are you waiting around anyhow?  I gave you all you need to accomplish what you are most suited to do.  You are My answer for many tasks that I have laid out before you.  If you don’t do them—they may never be done.  I can hear you saying “How am I supposed to know what God has for me to do?”  Look around you–what needs to be done?  Look to your community—what needs do you find?  I gifted you in unique ways to be a blessing to others which in turns will give you self-confidence, satisfaction, and unbounded joy.  Just do it!

God’s Question: Will you stop waiting and start acting?

God’s Promise:  As you treat others—I will treat you.

My Prayer to God:

I Praise You for creating tasks suited for me to do.

I am Sorry I don’t carry through with more of my ideas.

Thank You for Your Word that motivates me to move forward.

Please help me live faithfully for you by living for others.
