A Mountain Top Experience?

God’s Word: Mark 9:1-13

God’s Message to me: (My interpretation of what God is saying in these verses)

The world looks different from the mountain top.  mountain topFrom that vantage point you can see the big picture of life.  Your whole world looks different from the mountain top.  What seemed like a big deal in your little neighborhood is not even noticeable from the mountain top.  When life begins to get you down—head for the mountain top to get a new perspective.

Jesus’ friends certainly got their eyes open on the mountain top.  Yours can too!  I’ve made a mountain top experience simple for you.  Instead of finding a mountain to climb you simply open My Word and let My Spirit interact with yours and show you things you had not considered before.  That is because I have woven My Spirit into the words of My Book.  As you read, My Spirit is engaged and takes you to new heights of understanding.  The more often you read—the more heights you attain.

I created you to need my intervention.  When sin entered the world, through Adam and Eve, it began a chain reaction of challenges for mankind.  Sin is forever trying to take mankind down into the valleys of darkness and doom.  My Word is the antidote for sin.  Either sin will keep you from My Word—or My Word will keep you from sin.  You have free choice—mountain tops of clear understanding or valleys of doom and gloom.  All those who have traveled to the valleys before discovering the mountain top of joy that I offer—would agree—avoid the valleys.  The view is amazing from the mountain tops.

God’s Question: Have you had a mountain top experience with My Word lately?

God’s Promise:  I will meet you in My Word and take you to heights of joy and understanding you have not known before.
