Party On!

God’s Word: Mark 2:18-28

God’s Message to me: (My interpretation of what God is saying in these verses)

There is a time to celebrate and a time to pull in your belt. party During the wedding feast is not the time to be worrying about the bills due tomorrow.  Let each day take care of itself.  If I have told you once I have told you dozens of time—don’t borrow sorrow from tomorrow—in other words don’t worry about it!  I want you to enjoy each day of your life as you discover anew the gifts I give and the path I call you to follow.  Life is an adventure to be celebrated.  Look forward with anticipation to each new day I give you.  Whether joy, sorrow, frustration, challenges, pain or pleasure—I will be with you.

Don’t worry about tomorrow but live fully in the moment.  Many sacrifice today’s pleasure worrying about tomorrow’s pain.  What a waste of time and energy.  Know that pain is as much a part of life as pleasure.  Pain is the great teacher.  You will learn so much more from pain than pleasure.  So let the pain come, face it with confidence, and milk every bit of wisdom you can from the experience.  You will be the better for it and can be a great comfort to others who too must face it.

Through it all, good or bad, if you invite Me, I will be near you.  There is nothing that can separate you from my loving presence.  Nothing that is, except you and your refusal to believe.  I created you for My companionship and when you ignore Me I am disappointed.  It is the same as a child rejecting the love of the parent.  I am your Father who cares for you, loves you, forgives you, and will never leave you nor forsake you.  So rejoice and be glad—the party is never over!

God’s Question:  Will you join Me at My eternal celebration in heaven?

God’s Promise: I am only a prayer away.
