That’s Not Fair!

God’s Word: Matthew 20: 1-16

God’s Message to me: (My interpretation of what God is saying in these verses)

The root of the phrase “that’s not fair” is selfishness.  fish tankYou are only concerned about what is fair when you miss out on some benefit.  I wish you were so concerned about fairness for others.  What a wonderful world it would be if everyone was as concerned for their fellow-man as they are for themselves.

Here is My prescription for the “that’s not fair” syndrome.  What would you like others to do for you?  Then grab the initiative and do that for them!  This simple prescription would eradicate this tiresome syndrome.  Today, and every day, look out at your world for ways you can “knock the socks off” others with your deeds of kindness.  You will find that it does something deep in your heart and changes your whole outlook on life.

Look around you and you will find the happiest people are the ones who regularly do kindness for others—with no ulterior motives.    They aren’t scratching a back in hopes that their back will get scratched.  They simply want to bring joy to others.  Unselfishly bringing joy to another brings you twice as much joy as you give.  Jesus set the example is living and dying for your sake!  There was no ulterior motive for Himself—all benefit was for you.  In giving freely to you our hope is that you will grasp the concept of sacrifice on behalf of others.  You will receive far more than you give!

God’s Question: Who will benefit from your kindness today?

God’s Promise: To bless another with kindness is to bless Me.

My Prayer to God

I praise You for Jesus sacrifice on our behalf.

I am sorry I don’t sacrifice more on others behalf.

Thank You for loving me in spite of my faults.

Help me to love others in spite of their faults.
