God’s Word:  Proverbs 2:1-5

God’s Message to Me:

No need to chase rainbows—wisdom is more valuable than any pot of gold—no matter how large.  People often spend their whole life chasing after that elusive pot of gold—only to end up empty-handed and with empty hearts.  The real treasure is found in wisdom.  If you would only chase after wisdom you would find something far more valuable than even a huge pot of gold.

You are my treasure—my beloved child.  I have paid the ultimate price to show you my love and to offer you a treasure than time or life can never take from you.  My treasure is the only thing you can take with you when this life is over.  And I have provided you with the treasure map—you don’t have to go searching.

My Word—the Bible—is the ultimate Treasure Guide. There you will find wisdom that will guide you into understanding and insight that will turn your life from night to day.  So turn to My Bible, searching as a prospector pans for gold.  There you will find your “end-of-the-rainbow’ hopes and dreams come true.  Lasting happiness is not available apart from the knowledge I am eager to impart as you come to search for My gift of wisdom.

God’s Question to Me:  Have you given my Treasure Guide a chance to help you discover the ultimate treasure that lasts through time and eternity?

God’s Promise to Me: As you turn to My Word for guidance in your search for treasure I Myself will be your guide and companion.

My Song to God:

I have a wonderful treasure;
The gift of God without measure;
And so we’ll travel together;
My Bible and I.

I have a wonderful Savior,
He will keep me forever;
We will be happy together;
My Savior and I.
