Chasing Rainbows

God’s Word:  Proverbs 1:20-33

God’s Message to Me:

I offer My wisdom freely to all who will listen and learn.  Wisdom is making good choices about living.  I’ve sought to share My wisdom with you from all directions—parents, teachers, law enforcement, friends.  Many think the way of wisdom is a way of restriction.  Not restriction friends, but protection. Always looking for the easy way out is chasing rainbows.

Wisdom tells you to get up and go to work.  Foolishness tells you to call in sick and spend the day playing games.  Wisdom tells you to exercise your body—foolishness tells you to do it tomorrow.  Wisdom suggests that you are eating too much when your clothes no longer fit—but you just buy larger garments.

Foolishness says you can start tomorrow—wisdom says to start today.   If you put off wisdom until tomorrow—you only heap up pain and sorrow.  I am always eager to “gift” you with wisdom which will protect you from so many of life’s troubles.  The choice is yours—but remember you will have to live with your choices.  Wanting your own way is a one way street that has only a dead-end!

God’s Question to Me: What choice are you making today that will impact your future with a blessing rather than a curse?

God’s Promise to Me: I offer wisdom to all but leave the choice with you.  Chase pretty rainbows or accept My wisdom and relax—for you are in good hands.

My Song to God:

Are you tired of chasing pretty rainbows?
Are you tired of spinning round and round?
Wrap up all those shattered dreams of your life
And at the feet of Jesus, lay them down.

Give them all, give them all, give them all to Jesus
Shattered dreams, wounded hearts, and broken toys.
Give them all, give them all, give them all to Jesus
And He will turn your sorrows into joy.

He never said you only see sunshine,
He never said there would be no rain.
He only promised a heart full of singing
About the very thing that once brought pain.

Give them all, give them all, give them all to Jesus
Shattered dreams, wounded hearts, and broken toys.
Give them all, give them all, give them all to Jesus
And He will turn your sorrows into joy.
