The Winner is. . . . . . .

God’s Word:  Hebrews 4

God’s Message to Me:  (My interpretation of what God is saying through this Bible chapter)

Who will win the marathon race?  The one who spend the time and energy it takes to prepare, then competes according to the rules, and keeps at it clear to the finish line.  You run according to the rules of the race or you are disqualified.  All who make it to the finish line are winners—though maybe not the first winner.

Living life could be likened to a marathon race.  It takes time and energy to live life and come out a winner.  I created life for you and have not left you alone to “figure it all out on your own.”  I instructed 40 different authors to write out my guidelines for living successfully and happily.  I orchestrated their writing over 1500 years of time to make sure my Words were recorded faithfully.  Then I instructed others to put these writings all together into what is called the Holy Bible.

It saddens Me that many are searching the world over for spiritual guidance in all kinds of places.  They look to the “universe” as their guiding light.  They pour over the writings of scores of self-proclaimed gurus seeking spiritual guidance.  They listen to them speak—they attend their seminars—always seeking more enlightenment.

All the spiritual guidance that  needed is right at your fingertips, in My Holy Bible.  What you are looking for is not “out there somewhere.”  It is as close as your Bible.  As you read, My Spirit interacts with your spirit, and you realize what you have searched the world over to find was right here in My Word—all the time.  Here is all the information you need to be winners in life and make it safely to the finish line—as a winner.  My grace, mercy and love will be with you each step of the way.

God’s Question for Me: Will you let Me be your guiding light as you look to My Word?

God’s Promise to Me: My Word leads right to the foot of the cross where Jesus is waiting to offer you grace, mercy and love.

My Prayer to God:

My Song to God: Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus  Helen H. Lemmel, 1922

O soul, are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There’s a light for a look at the Savior,
And life more abundant and free!

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.

Through death into life everlasting
He passed, and we follow Him there;
Over us sin no more hath dominion—
For more than conquerors we are!

His Word shall not fail you—He promised;
Believe Him, and all will be well:
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell!
