Glad Reunion Day

God’s Word: John 16

God’s message to me:

In this chapter, John recorded my warning to the world.  “There will come a time when anyone who kills you will think he’s doing God a favor.”  Friends, that is now happening around the world.  Why don’t you hear about it?  Because your news media doesn’t choose to reveal it.  While America is teaching tolerance and acceptance of all faiths, those same faiths in other parts of the world are killing Christians–daily.

I can read your thoughts, “Why are You letting this happen?”  Remember that it happened to My own Son—Jesus Christ.  This is part and parcel of the free-will I created mankind with.  You are free to choose good or evil.  If I zapped everyone who did evil that would be taking away your free choice.  You would merely be My robots.  That isn’t what you want.  That isn’t what I want.

After Jesus died on the cross, rose from the dead and returned to heaven, I sent My Indwelling Spirit to abide with those who believe in Me as Jesus revealed.  My Spirit will unite with your spirit and guide you along your life’s pathway.  Whatever lies in your path, you will be given the strength and peace to face it in victory.  And when you are overwhelmed and your life is drained from you, I will escort you into my very presence.  The last pain of your earthly life will be the beginning of your forever pain-free life in My heaven. That will be a glad reunion day.

God’s Question for me: Will you let Jesus guide you along life’s pathway, right into My very presence?

God’s Promise to me: “In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties.  But take heart!  I’ve conquered the world.” John 6:30

My prayer to God:

Adoration–It is a great comfort to know that whatever difficulties lie in my pathway—you will never leave me alone and ultimately escort me right into your precious presence.

Confession—I’m so sorry that I ever waste one moment worrying about my future.  I may not know what my future holds but I know YOU, the one who holds my future. That is enough.

Thanksgiving—Thank you God for Your encouraging Words that you will be with me through it all and bring me home to You in victory.

Supplication—Use me to share the joy and peace that are mine through your amazing love.

My Song to God:  GLAD REUNION DAY  (Listen here)

There will be a happy meeting in heaven I know
When we see the many loved ones we’ve known here below
Gather on the blessed hilltops with hearts all aglow
That will be a glad reunion day

Glad day (that will be a happy day yes), a wonderful day
Glad day (that will be a happy day yes), a glorious day
There with all the holy angels and loved ones to stay
That will be a glad reunion day

When we live a million years in that wonderful place
Basking in the love of Jesus beholding His face
It will seem but just a moment of praising His grace
That will be a glad reunion day
