Wise Investing

God’s Word:  Genesis 47

God’s message to me:

As I brought salvation to many in Egypt through Joseph’s wisdom, I want to use you to touch the lives of many, for their eternal salvation, right where you live.  Joseph looked into the future and determined his course of action so that he would be prepared for the future—to save the lives of the people in times of famine.

You too should look into the future and make choices for wisely investing your words and deeds to take advantage of every opportunity to share My story of salvation with your world.  This calls for wisdom in the use of your time and resources.  The key is the planning ahead and the willingness to make sacrifices today for the good of sharing My message tomorrow.

Use the wisdom I offer to choose how you will invest your time, rather than spend it.  Never just spend your time or resources for your fleeting pleasures.  If you have time to spare—invest it in others.  If you have resources to spare—invest them in others.  In so doing you are in all actuality doing it for Me.

God’s Question for me:

Will you sacrifice today’s pleasure in order to plan and prepare for tomorrows opportunity?

God’s Promise to me:

My wisdom is readily available for you to draw upon as you make choices in how you INVEST your time and resources.

My prayer to God:

  1. I praise you for your wisdom which you are eager to impart to me.
  2. I’m sorry that I fritter away so many hours of my life on trivial pursuits.
  3. Thank you for giving me so much to do and so many lives to impact.
  4. Please guide and give us your wisdom invest our time in things of eternal consequences.

My Song to God:  Be Like Jesus

Earthly pleasures vainly call me,
I would be like Jesus;
Nothing worldly shall enthrall me,
I would be like Jesus.

Be like Jesus, this my song,
In the home and in the throng;
Be like Jesus, all day long!
I would be like Jesus.

He has broken every fetter,
I would be like Jesus;
That my soul may serve Him better,
I would be like Jesus.

All the way from earth to glory,
I would be like Jesus;
Telling o’er and o’er the story,
I would be like Jesus.
