Turn The Page

TGod’s Word:  Genesis 40

God’s Message to me:

As it was in the days of Joseph, so it is today, everyone is only concerned about their own heads. Once a person’s longing is fulfilled, they move on with their own personal lives and forget all about those who brought them to that point.  It’s usually not that people intentionally forget about what they owe others, it’s just that they are so occupied with their own affairs that to think about others never even enters their minds.  They fail to turn the page.

What I am calling you to do is intentionally turn the page and think about others.  Don’t sit around waiting for others to do good and helpful things for you.  Purposefully set self aside and seek to bless others.  Jesus set the example for you—go and do likewise. What have others done for you that have really blessed your life?  Turn the page and pass it on!  Do good for others using whatever talents you have been given.  Give of yourself sacrificially—not just with your leftover moments. Create page-turning moments for Me!

What ministries are you involved in?  It is better to duplicate yourself than to do all the work yourself.  More can be accomplished with two or three working than one doing it all and becoming worn out and discouraged.  Turn the page–make it your mission for the rest of your life to duplicate yourself.  Don’t leave a gaping hole when you die—duplicate yourself and leave multiple folks that you have recruited, inspired and passed on your mantle.  Trust me, turn the page and move forward toward this end.

God’s Question for me:

Will you remember my sacrifice so that you might be forgiven and serve me sacrificially?

God’s Promise to me:

I have plans for you that you haven’t even begun to discover—just turn the page!

My prayer to God:

I praise you for the way You use Your word to speak volumes to our hearts.

I am sorry that I spent far too much time focused on self—rather than turning the page.

Thank you for your grace and forgiveness that flowed into our lives so abundantly.

Help us to pass it on, to turn the page, and do good unto others, as you have done for us.

My Song to God: Make Me A Blessing

Out in the highways and byways of life,
many are weary and sad;
Carry the sunshine where darkness is rife
making the sorrowing glad.

Make me a blessing,
Make me a blessing,
Out of my life
May Jesus shine;
Make me a blessing, O savior, I pray,
Make me a blessing to someone today.

Tell the sweet story of Christ and His love;
Tell of His pow’r to forgive;
Others will trust Him if only you prove
true ev’ry moment you live.

Give as ’twas given to you in your need;
Love as the Master loved you;
Be to the helpless a helper indeed;
Unto your mission be true.
