Broken Pieces

God’s Word:Genesis 34

God’s message to me:

This incident began because Dinah stepped out of the safety zone and went to visit some “women of that country.”   Oh, that my people would train up their daughters to be pure before Me and not flaunt themselves before the world.  All kinds of evil lurks to snatch away the young person’s innocence.  You must train your children from the time they are very young to be obedient and to hate evil.  Instead, there are mothers and father’s modeling evil before the very eyes of their children.  Divorce, alcohol, drugs, incest, violence and the list goes on and on. The children grow up as broken pieces from shattered homes.

I created children to follow in the footsteps of their parents.  But woe to the parents who lead their children down the devils pathway.  So don’t criticize too harshly the young person who is living for the devil: they are simply the broken pieces and doing what comes naturally to them—following their parent’s example.

My challenge to you is to come along these broken pieces of humanity and model obedience to Me and encourage them to make different choices than their parents made.  There is no end of those you could reach out to and mentor on My behalf. Encourage parents to be living examples of obedience to Me and encourage children to follow your example of obedience, if their parents have led them astray.

God’s Question for me:

Will you look for every opportunity today to mentor some wanderer back to me?

God’s Promise to me:

I will give you the words to say, but you must willingly open your mouth and speak.

My prayer to God:

I praise You for the model You have given of parents training their children.

I am sorry that so many parents are not training their children to be pure.

Thank You for giving each of us the opportunity to turn hearts back to You.  .

Help me today to help a parent and to help a child to turn back to You.

My Song to God:   Broken Pieces

All across this nation
Families are falling
And daily the number increases
And the ones who suffer most are not
The mothers nor the fathers
The children are the broken pieces

Chorus

Yes, the children are the broken pieces
When the home falls apart
Yes,the children are the broken pieces
Who’s going to mend their broken hearts.

And when our nation is fill with broken pieces
It’s so hard to build them on the ruins
So mothers and fathers if you will not stay together
The children pay the price for what you’re doing

Yes, the children are the broken pieces
When the home falls apart
Yes,the children are the broken pieces
Who’s going to mend their broken hearts.

(repeat chorus)

Oh, tell me,Who’s going to mend their tender hearts.
Please, tell me God’s going to mend their broken pieces.
