In the Beginning

God’s Word:  Genesis 1

God’s message to me:

The earth and all its abundance is my gift to you.  The birds and the bees, the flowers and the trees, all were created with your needs and pleasure in mind.  Everything I created was passed through that filter.  All of the earth and heavens were created to blend and mesh together in order to sustain the life of humanity.

I called forth all my creative powers to create this earth and all that is in it.  I created within you the ability to appreciate beauty.  When you sniff the fragrance of a flower and find pleasure—I accept that as a compliment.  When you are kind to an animal—I am comforted.  When you reach out to a fellow human being—I accept that as done unto myself.  That is the bottom line in my purpose for all of creation—for mankind to reach out to each other with kindness and helpfulness—and in that process to share my love and point them to Christ.

Always remember that you are my stewards to care for all that I have given you and honor me in that process.

God’s Question for me:

Are the words and deeds of your life honoring me?

God’s Promise to me:

My blessings are given in direct proportion to your stewardship of what you now have.

My Song to God:

Creation shows the power of God
There’s glory all around and
those who see must stand in awe,
For miracles abound.

(Chorus)
I believe in miracles
I’ve seen a soul set free
Miraculous the change in one
redeemed through Calvary;
I’ve seen the lily push its way
up through the stubborn sod
I believe in miracles for
I believe in God!

I cannot doubt the work of God,
Its plain for all to see:
The miracles that he has wrought
Should lead to Calvary.

(Chorus)
I believe in miracles
I’ve seen a soul set free
Miraculous the change in one
redeemed through Calvary;
I’ve seen the lily push its way
up through the stubborn sod
I believe in miracles for
I believe in God!

The love of God! O power divine!
‘Tis wonderful to see
The miracle of grace performed
With-in the heart of me.

(Chorus)
I believe in miracles
I’ve seen a soul set free
Miraculous the change in one
redeemed through Calvary;
I’ve seen the lily push its way
up through the stubborn sod
I believe in miracles for
I believe in God!
