A Taste of Heaven

God’s Word: Psalms 149

God’s Attribute: God delights in His people!

God’s Message to me:

Oh how I love you—every last human being that has ever lived on earth.  You are my special and honored creation—made especially for fellowship with me.  And how do you fellowship with me?  As you acknowledge my presence in your everyday life my heart is turned toward you.  But my delight knows no bounds when I hear words of praise come from your lips. What delights me so is not that I feel elevated but that at those moments our hearts are knit tightly together.  Praise is the precursor to Paradise—a little touch of that time when we will be together for eternity.

My heart’s desire is that all people, ever born, would enter my Paradise and live eternally in my presence.  But I have entrusted mankind with free will to choose Me or reject Me.  I would not force myself on anyone—they must turn to me in belief and repentance.  Then, my arms of acceptance are open wide.

The key to entering my Presence is Praise—which give you a taste of the deep joys that are yet to be–in heaven with Me.  During times of praise you experience deep peace, joy, and complete rest in My love.  So you see—it isn’t all about Me—but blesses you immensely.  I’m really all about you.  I delight in your praise—for your sake—not mine.

God’s Question for me:

How long has it been since you had a little taste of heaven on earth?

God’s Promise to me:

John 3:16 (Paraphrased by Ellen—in first person—from God)

This is how much I love the world: I gave my Son, My one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in Him (my Son), anyone can have a whole and lasting life. I didn’t go to all the trouble of sending My Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was.  Jesus came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in Him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust Him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it.  And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in my one-of-a-kind Son when introduced to him.

My Song to God:

All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.

I surrender all,
I surrender all.
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Humbly at His feet I bow,
Worldly pleasures all forsaken;
Take me, Jesus, take me now.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel Thy Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Now I feel the sacred flame.
Oh, the joy of full salvation!
Glory, glory to His name!

    A little taste of heaven is like taking one peanut or a bite of chocolate. I keep wanting more and more! Until I finally reach God’s heavenly home I don’t think I will be completely satisfied…..
