Stick With It

God’s Word: Psalms 129

God’s Attribute: God sticks with us

God’s Message to me:

Ever had a friend turn their back on you and do you wrong?  Or worse yet, a child, a spouse, a parent or other relative do the same?  The emotional pain is excruciating.  I look upon each human as my child and I am pained deeply when some turn their back and me and do me wrong.  To claim you are an atheist is to lie to yourself. When you look at the world around you and tell yourself that it just evolved by chance—is the greatest of lies to self.  That is turning your back on me!

I never turn my back on anyone—no matter how much they deny my existence.  I keep on giving them air to breath, food and water to sustain life.  I allow them to spew their lies to whomever they choose.  Yes, it pains me deeply but I keep showing my stuff—the world and all its glory—hoping they will recognize me as Creator.

What do you do when another person turns their back on you?  Do you wait for me to intervene or do you take the matter into your own hands and give them back what you feel “they deserve?”  Your response to rejection is part of your growth toward greatness.  Always forgive!  Always be available for reconciliation!  As you want me to stick with you thru thick and thin, you must be available to others.

God’s Question for me:

Will you choose to forgive, as I do, and let me take care of retribution?

God’s Promise to me:

I will never leave you or forsake you.

My Song to God:

So send I you—to labor unrewarded,

To serve unpaid, unloved, unsought, unknown,

To bear rebuke, to suffer scorn and scoffing—

So send I you, to toil for me alone.

So send I you—to hearts made hard by hatred,

To eyes made blind because they will not see,

To spend, tho it be blood, to spend and spare not—

So send I you, to taste of Calvary.
